1958 panhead chopper9/15/2023 ![]() ![]() The widow told me the last rebuild was in 87. I got the bike from the widow of the builder KING Rat himself.This bike is exactly the way it has allways been. KING RAT is up for sale, this is a late 60's survivor. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME OR CALL ME AT 2O15433728. DON'T MISS OUT, RARE MOTORCYCLES LIKE THIS ARE JUST NOT AROUND ANYMORE. I REALLY DON'T HAVE MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THIS MOTORCYCLE, I BELIEVE THE PICTURES TELL THE WHOLE STORY. EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD, BUT I WOULD RECOMMEND A LITTLE SERVICING BEFORE PUTTING IT ON THE ROAD, JUST SOME SIMPLE ADJUSTMENTS AND MAYBE A FRESH TUNE UP. THE CARBURETOR NEEDS TO BE CLEANED, IT'S ALL GUMMED UP FROM SITTING FOR A FEW YEARS. WE HAD TO SPRAY GAS DOWN THE CARBURETOR THROAT TO KEEP THE BIKE RUNNING. AGAIN, WE JUST GOT IT IN, SO FAR ALL WE DID WAS CLEAN IT UP A LITTLE, WE PUT A NEW BATTERY IN IT, AND WE PUT SOME FRESH GAS IN IT, WE KICKED IT OVER AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. IT WAS PUT AWAY IN RUNNING CONDITION BACK IN 2006. AFTER IT WAS REDONE, IT WAS JUST USED TO GO TO SMALL LOCAL CAR AND MOTORCYCLE SHOWS AND ALSO USED IN SMALL LOCAL TOWN PARADES, IT ONLY HAS 275 MILES ON IT SINCE IT'S BEEN REDONE. ![]() THIS MOTORCYCLE WAS REDONE BACK IN THE EARLY 1980'S. I ALSO HAVE THE REAR KICKSTAND FOR THE BIKE, AND A FEW OTHER PARTS. I ALSO HAVE SOME MORE ORIGINAL PARTS THAT I FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF, THE BIKE HAS THE POLICE SEAT ON IT NOW, BUT I DO HAVE THE ORIGINAL CIVILIAN SEAT THAT IS IN GOOD CONDITION, JUST THE FLAIR ON THE THE BACK OF THE SEAT IS WORN OUT, A VERY SIMPLE REPAIR. THIS 1957 HAS TONS OF ORIGINAL (OEM) HARLEY DAVIDSON PARTS, HERE IS JUST A SMALL LIST OF SOME OF THE MAIN PARTS,#1) (H-D FRAME), THIS IS AN UNCUT / UNMOLESTED FRAME COMPLETE WITH THE SIDE CAR LOOPS AND ALL THE MOUNTING TABS, (H-D ENGINE), (H-D TRANSMISSION) (H-D FRONT END). THIS MOTORCYCLE HAS BEEN WITH THE SAME FAMILY SINCE 1957. 1957 IS THE LAST YEAR HARLEY DAVIDSON USED THE HARDTAIL FRAME FOR PANHEAD MOTORCYCLES. IN 1957, THERE WAS ONLY (1,579) FL MODELS MADE. WE JUST GOT THIS IN, DON'T MISS OUT, HERE IS A VERY RARE 1957 HARLEY DAVIDSON PANHEAD FL. REMAINING BALANCE THROUGH BANK TRANSFER, CERTIFIED CHECK, OR COME GET IT AND HAND ME CASH $500 DEPOSIT WITHIN 24HRS OF AUCTION END. I WILL SELL INTERNATIONALLY AND WILL GET IT TO YOUR PORT OF CHOICE FOR $200 BUT HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT ONCE IT LEAVES MY TRANSPORTER SOLD AS IS. ITS A MUCH SAFER WAY TO TRANSPORT AND INSURE THAT THE PARTS GET THERE UNDAMAGED. I CAN GET THIS SHIPPED DOOR TO DOOR FROM AN ACTUAL TRANSPORTER THAT I USE ALL THE TIME ANYWHERE IN THE U.S. CLUTCH LOOKS GOOD AND ENGAGES AND SPINS NICE RATCHET TOP IS ALSO INCLUDED. I HAVE THE BELT IF YOU WANT IT BUT ITS JUNK. CASE HAS A REPAIR BUT IT WAS NICELY DONE. ![]() TRANSMISSION: ORIGINAL 4 SPEED WITH NEW GEAR KIT, SHIFTER FORKS, BEARINGS AND SEAL. PO SAID IT WAS A GREAT RUNNER AND HE PULLED IT TO PUT IN A CUSTOM FRAME AND NEVER FINISHED. REPAIRS WERE DONE WELL, BUT THEY DID NOTHING TO CLEAN UP THE "LOOK" AFTER. THE HEADS HAVE BEEN WELDED AT THE INTAKE PORTS, EXHAUST FLANGES AND ALSO ON THE FRONT HEAD STEADY. THE CASES AND BARRELS LOOK GOOD OTHER THAN JUST DIRTY. FROM WHAT I CAN SEE, ITS THE ORIGINAL VIN SIDE 1957 CASE AND THE TIMING SIDE IS FROM A 1960. MOTOR: TRUETT & OSBORN TORQUE MONSTER FLYWHEELS, H-BEAM RODS, ANDREWS A GRIND CAM WITH SPRINGS AND COLLARS/KEEPERS. IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS OR WANT CERTAIN PICTURES JUST LET ME KNOW AND I WILL TRY TO ANSWER THEM.
